First show for me

Craziness
I went to the Sacramento Expo today and it was awesome. I only stayed for a couple hours because I can only do so well with so many people around. Anxiety issues.
Anyway, I couldn't go to the show without getting something! I ended up purchasing a male cape gopher snake. He's gorgeous. I've been wanting one of these for a while now. I love his belly. It's like a highlighter orange color.
I'm sorry for the bad quality pictures.
Here he is..Still haven't named him yet.

That's cool! I saw some of those for the first time today- I'm not familiar with "Cape" Gopher. What does that refer to? Is it a subspecies?? They were really beautiful.

I understand that feeling. :eek1: Mine comes from claustrophobia that I have started to develop over the past couple of years. :uhoh:

Your new lil boy is a cutie!

I actually don't know much about these guys. It's hard finding any information on them. I guess they're also referred to as "Baja" gopher snakes.
I've read in a few places that young cape gophers are usually pretty aggressive. This guy is so calm.

He's beautiful! Congrats. I hope people start posting more pics soon. I was supposed to go to this one but things came up and I missed it. I was thinking about coming home with a Gopher too. :headbang:

Thank you for the comments everyone. :)
I definitely love this guy. Right now he's my favorite of all my snakes(Sshhh don't tell the other ones!).
He's so pretty. I wish I had the camera my bf has so I could take better pics of him. I just want to hold him, but I know I better let him settle in his viv for a few days. He seems pretty content exploring.

I had a hard time at the show. I couldn't decide what I wanted. I almost got a bloodred corn, but then decided..Hmm..I should look around more. I almost got a crested gecko..but decided that I should look around more..Almost got a few other things..But decided to look around more.
Then I saw this guy, and he just caught my eye.

The only thing I had a problem with(and other people might not agree on) was that some of the people at the show were treating the animals like they were a product. It was kind of irritating in a way. But oh well.

Woah! He looks like my Macabee! I wonder if I could see his head a little clearer..
You should name him Victor! That's the other famous gopher trap maker.
