hiya :wavey:

my husband very kindly bought me a fishtank ornament for my viv (looks like couple of artificial logs with with artificial plants) its grey and green and its hollow.

will it be safe for my corn??

I gave it a good rinsing with running water, checked as much as possible that the colours didn't rub off and that it wasn't very sharp inside.

any pointers, info or ideas would be welcome

Nah. Probably nothing your snake can't handle :) I assume it's no material that might hold parasites or have a breeding ground for bacteria.

I think its made of some kind of resin.....the usual stuff they are made of.

not a breeding ground as far as I'm aware.......but i'll disinfect it regularly when I do the viv.....every 4-6 weeks and hides etc

I'd soak it in bleach or another disinfectant, if all you did was run it under water. Other than that, sounds perfectly safe for your snake.
 
Fish are so sensitive that 5-8 parts per MILLION of ammonia in water will kill them. If it isn't sharp or otherwise dangerous, I'm sure it will do fine. But the real question is: do YOU like it?
