Florida Here We Come...

It would be fun to meet people from this site I'd have to say!!! It shall be exciting! We will see you all there!!!

Yes, let's have a planned cornsnake dinner with all who are interested.

"I never seemed to make it out from behind the table much last year." - Connie

Yup, you guys were working hard, talking to lots of people! Are you still going to be behind the table part of the time this year too? In some ways, you get to meet more "corny" people that way, because they come right to us instead of trying to find them amongst the crowds! And GREAT photo ops too, ha ha!!

Since we won't have to deal with those Reptilemania flyers like last year, it shouldn't be quite so hectic. I will try to get a couple of other friends to help out part of the time so we might be able to get out a little more. Of course, the Expo itself is hectic even if you don't have a table, lol!

It would be awesome to get the chance to go down. Unfortunately, I doubt the ole college budget will really allow for it. :sobstory:

Well this goes on every year in August from what I have learned so maybe you can try and get the ole passport and $ together for 2007. Just a thought!!! :)

I can understand that, college isn't cheap but maybe you can save up for 2007... :)

I think getting together for a cornsnakes.com members dinner would be fun. I've never been to Daytona or this show so I'm not sure how that would work. Can't wait to meet everyone though.

Yanno, I looked at this thread, and then, of course, I looked at flights.

Stop it, every one of you. You're driving me to dire financial straits.

That's right. It's all YOUR fault. :p

jazz

Okay Jazz, think about it, you've got what about 6 months, just hold off buying that next snake...and get that plane ticket instead...then save up so that you know you can get another snake at the show...see that sounds great...why not??? I know I know so optimistic, but we (VinnyJ) are actually making a weeks vacation out of the whole trip and of course a little road trip and snake "hunting" adventure. Should be fun...hope to see all of you there... :crazy02:

Yeah, and I can't find a ticket for under $300! What, are they crazy? I paid that much to go to Florida over CHRISTMAS!

I would ask but she's "at work" right now and has no control of the calls being forwarded through her computer. but I'll ask when she's off or gets a break. That's LA to Miami? or one of the smaller airports can't remember what's close to you since back in the day I was more concerned on how long it took to get to Huntington than the airport...

We would be flying from Oakland to Orlando. We are renting a car from there and then doing some other traveling up the coast after the show. If you could ask her that would be great and we would appreciate it. Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

Oakland $310 with connections, the other is nonstop...

That's great, thanks for the info will definately keep you and your roomie in mind once we book it all...thanks a bunch!

That IS a good question... is it better to fly to Orlando or to Miami for the reptile show? Or to go to Daytona Beach's airport directly? (I get the impression it's an itty bitty one.)
