For the scaredy-cats: hatchling bite

Hey all, just thought I'd post a pic or two of the very very serious damage a young corn snake can inflict. I know I should have gone straight to the E.R., but decided to tough it out and suffer in silence. For all those new owners who are too scared to pick up their snake when the snake is looking manic, these are for you. :grin01: (Just in case you are so horrified by these images that you are getting a mental block and can't even see what I'm talking about, look for the redder-than-normal freckles.)

Oh my days! Are you alright!? That looks like some serious damage it did there! :sidestep: I don't think I could ever hold a snake again! Ommmmg! :grin01:

OMG! that can happen...someone call animal control, I can't possibley take care of my corns any longer knowing that can happen.

lol :)

Pssshh, that's nothin'. You should have seen when one of my Rootbeer hatchlings held on for like 2 minutes last year. I had like 4 drops of blood. :grin01:

But really, the only thing I hate about getting bit is the itching. It drives me crazy!!!

I love it when they tail rattle too.
My king got me yesterday during a feeding. One little tooth went in and I got a drop of blood out from that. He didn't know if he should let go or not, so I helped him. He's so sweet.

btw lefty_mussolini - Didn't you wash out the bite? Mine got a little pink for a bout two minutes, now its just a dot.

:eek1: Dun dun dunn!
Tee hee. Bless...I love it when the little snakies latch on. They try to look so big and menacing :grin01:

You got blood?!? I never get blood! I wanna bite where I get blood. How can I get sympathy if I don't get blood???

My favorite is when they keep on nipping at you; acting all big and bad like they're doing all this damage and they're soooooo tough and scary. It's so funny.

Now when an adult tags you, that's another story; I've a couble of gushers from those.
