For those who crossed into tub territory...

"gotta catch em all"... Go to south coast exotics... They deliver for £18.95 per order and their prices are very sane :)

I use Iris CB 70's, which are 9.25 gallons (35L): 17 3/4" x 33 1/2" x 6" (45cm x 85cm x 15 cm) for my adult corns. These seem a little too big for corns, but perfect for ball pythons. Your size appears to be a better fit.
I don't agree. I think Elle's are too small for an adult corn. If I am doing my math correctly, hers are only 11.8" x 5.9"

Yeah, I guess you'd need to know whether 30x15 is inches or centimeters. Given she is from the UK, it seems likely that it's in cm. Only us backwards Yanks still use English... ironically! ;)

I assumed that her measurements were in inches--and that maybe she was nice enough to convert them into our [backwards] standard.

It was measurements in inches... I tend to work in Degrees F and Inches since getting into snakes, its like a universal language.

LOL...and here I was trying to be mindful of the fact that you live across the pond. Most people over there tend to post in cm.

Since it is in inches, then it should be a big enough container. :D

I prefer to work in ft... cms are figety... Inches are ok.
So the tubs should be ok for adult corns? And kings/housesnakes/rat snakes?

I like to keep my yearlings and under in the 18QT Sterilite with the locking flip up handles, and I have adults in the 70QT only because I can't find the 40s of the same style. They have the same footprint as the 70s but shorter....

I never understood a word of that... completley alien... LOL

I actually keep most of my adult rat snakes in longer tubs. They seem to need a bit more floor space.

They have 40" ones too that I will pick up for the rats. I like longer tubs too...
I dont see the point in them being really deep.

Where do those of you in Britain buy your tubs from?
I've found many tubs, but none of them are big enough for an adult corn, at least not to the standards I like to supply for my animals. Anyone know somewhere I can get a wide range of tubs?

Try poundstretchers, adult size tubs are 3 for £10.... :)

And Pliss, I don't think you need to worry about tubs sizes and "standards" just yet ;)

Um, what? Why should I not worry about the size of my tubs? You don't have to be going under in snakes to want to keep them in tubs, you know.

Hmm... you just came accross as a wise old monkey....
