Being genetically predisposed to fret about everything (thanks, Mom!), I was at the very least slightly concerned about how well my 4 new babies would eat for me today, given that this was both their first meal with me and their first f/t ever.
I shoudn't have! :dancer:
Alice (anery stripe F), the largest and who was in Blue when she arrived on Wednesday, was a bit squirmish but ate the pink with little fanfare. She shed last night. It tore in two, but the tail tip and eye caps were all present so I was happy but my son was dissapointed that the shed wasn't a keeper (plus, Alice kindly packaged up a big poop for me in there).
Ralph (anery mot M) was more interested at first in making his big escape, but then nailed the pink, coiled up around it and munched with gusto.
Ed (anery stripe M), he who tagged me multiple times on Wednesday, was still very defensive... rattling and striking at anything that moved. Hit the tongs and the pink several times before realizing it was breakfast, but once that realization set in, went to work on it fairly quickly. He's the runt of the group, so it took him a little longer to get the small pink down, but it did go.
Trixie (anery mot F) who is the sweetheart of the bunch, wouldn't let go of my finger. She hit the pink in the midsection and pulled if up into my palm. Took her forever to move around to the head, but once she did that, she ate well, too.
All in all... very pleased! Except now I have to find something else to worry aobut. :shrugs:
Let me get another meal or two in them then I'll get some pics up in the photo forum.
