Ok, You got it.

tricksterpup, Great post!.

Yah, as you know, CO2 comes off of dry ice. It's just a lot easier for people to use CO2 cannisters because they can be bought and refilled at many sports stores. I have yet to find place around me that sells dry ice... but if you order mice online then I guess you could use the dry ise in those packages.

I have found dry ice (frozen CO2) at grocery stores. Here it is at Safeway for less than $1/lb. I don't have a use for CO2 canisters beyond putting mice down, and I don't have very many mice to put down yet. I buy dry ice often to use in my science classes. FUN STUFF!

Oh, I play paintball as well, so I need the C02 to power my guns. Maybe it's just your location, but I still can't find dry ice anywhere.

Yah. It was originally made by me to ask about some mice that I had that had odd holes in their chest. Me having ADD, I fed them to my snake, without noticing. But now it's basically nothing.

What starsevol meant was that all you did in this thread, was copy what everyone else said and then 'regurgitated' it to make yourself look knowledgeable and experienced, which is what you always do.

Susie, Janine, for some reason I can give rep on this forum. So, ye ask and ye shall recieve! :)

Yes, I know what she ment. I found that out after I thought about it for a while. I know all the killing methods because of this: I was considering breeding mice, and I'm a little bit of a soft guy. I have CO2 canisters sitting around my house (I play paintball) and was wondering if I could use those to kill the mice. I went online, looked up the killing methods, found that CO2 was an option, and also read the other ways of killing.

And look, I'm getting really sick and tired of people saying that I'm just repeating things that other people have said:eatsmiley. It's like this: If you ask some people "What's 2+2?" They would all say "4", that dosen't mean that they're copying off of each other, it just means that they all know the right answer, and the right answer is what they say.

Lots of people are busting my chops about what I say. Get over it! Really. Does it matter? O.K, I make some mistakes, but just because I don't own 40 corns, does not mean that I have no clue what I'm talking about. I have read both Don Soderburg's book and Kathy/Bill Love's book cover to cover, so I know a few things.

I'm trying to watch my post a little more, so give me a break. I put a lot of my time into long posts explaining myself like this one, and I would rather spend that time searching the forums and learning things.

But the problem is you don't know what you are talking about. You post bad information in a post and then state "Well I meant to say this." It doesn't fly here and experienced people catch you on it.
By the way owning 40 snakes do not make you an experienced either. Its years of experience that does. You have a wee one that weights only 22 grams and had it for about 3 months.

As you say, "Get over it! Really. Does it matter?" , It does matter and we won't get over it.

To me, it's more like this: the teacher asks the class "What's 2+2", and Jane's hand goes up first. The teacher calls on her, and Jane answers, "4". Then you raise your hand, the teacher says, "yes Pat?", and you say, "the sum of 2 and 2 is 4." The first time you did this, your classmates would probably laugh at you. But by the 15th time, some of them would start losing patience and getting mean about it. I'm not trying to be mean about it; I just want you to see that your perception of what you're doing doesn't seem to match up with the perceptions of other members.

And here's a tip: if you'd rather be doing something else other than explaining yourself, then don't explain yourself. It's simple. And if you don't like the way a thread is going as it pertains to you, just stop posting in it.

I know you're working on your posting, and I appreciate it. With a bit more work, you'll be just fine. :)

took the words right out of my mouth

I have read both Don Soderburg's book and Kathy/Bill Love's book cover to cover, so I know a few things.

So have I.
That's just knowing other peoples information and being able to learn it.
I'm still a noob and I've been here for a year now (lurking before I even signed up). I started soaking up knowledge for 4 months before I got my first snake.
There's still so much I don't know.

It wouldn't kill you to be more humble.

Well along with others (I'll regurg it one more time!) it's the bad information you give out and the refusal to under stand a couple basic concepts. Such as Don S told me to use amel in punnett square. Maybe he did but you still have to consider the emoryi part in results.
The other thing is your age 13? 18? and now nothing. I don't care how old you are but don't lie about it. It's a silly lie, but since you went from 13 to 18, it seems as if you are trying to make yourself more credible?????

At current count, I have 24 corns, with five coming in the mail soon, 4 other species of snake (including a large python), and I do not consider myself an expert.

I still ask questions. I occasionally even ask stupid questions. It's okay not to know the answer to something. In fact, I consider it a good quality to be able to admit that you aren't sure.

Also, if you're using information from another source, say so in your post. You don't want to make it sound like it's your info unless you actually have experience. If someone asks what to do after a regurge, don't say "wait and feed a smaller meal". Say "according to Kathy Love, you should wait for awhile, then offer a smaller meal".

And WOW... I just realized I need to update my signature.

Thank you Dean, and though the classroom metaphor is hilarious, I still see your point.

I'm not the type of person to give up on a thread just because of the way it is going, even though I might try it sometimes.
