Funny feeding day story

AliCat37

Michelle's Candied Corns!
I just wanted to share because I thought it was kind of funny.

I had five freshly killed hoppers laying out because today I'm feeding, I had already fed my lavender and my anery. I turned around and realized that there were only two hoppers laying where I had left them. I gave my motley boy his and looked at the one remaining hopper, and wondered what happened to the other one. Then it dawned on me that my cat had just been in the room! I went to go look for her and I found my dog tossing the hopper around in the air with a very ticked off looking cat next to him. I got it back from the dog and then my cat followed me all over squeaking (she doesn't really meow) because she wanted it back! I took her outside and offered it to her, but then she was too excited about being outside. I guess four years of living inside has not caused her to forget hunting mice in the barns. I'm glad that the hoppers were prekilled! I would have felt horrible if she and the dog had gotten a live one. I wonder how the snakes are going to feel about dog and cat drool covered mice next week?

I'm counting on my cat to "clean up" when I have a refused feeding! So far he's brought me a baby rabbit, a chipmunk, and a very limp bird.

Our cats only go in our backyard, and the one has become quite skilled at bringing me birds!! She only killed one that I know of this year though, she brought three others into the house where they proceeded to fly around with all four cats and me chasing after. I just can't believe that one of them actually walked off with my hopper, usually they just sniff and leave.
