Fuzzies vs Large Pinks

Ok, so I've been following the Munson Plan for my corns, and so far so good, but Wade's reached 26 g this week (they grow up so fast *sniff!*), and while I should be bumping him up to fuzzies, I think he looks too narrow to be able to handle them. I've never seen these fuzzies in person before, so my frame of reference is probably not the best.

I'm planning on ordering Mouse Factory fuzzies too, which I've heard are bigger. Am I way off base here? Should I bump him up to fuzzies, or order the 'big pinks' Mouse Factory offers?

Large pinks will be just fine and switch to fuzzies around 35g if concerned :)

May I ask how old Wade is? I have a 34g snake coming in tomorrow that has been on fuzzies for awhile to my knowledge, and they aren't that much bigger than pinks at all.
 
He is growing like crazy! Wow! He's beautiful, too.

As for the mice, I believe you can get 50 small or large pinks and 50 fuzzies in a package deal. I've done it before, but I don't know if they've changed or not. It's still on the quick and easy orders page, however.

I should say, I love TMF. You won't ever want to buy from anybody but them. Their mice are packaged very well, and they don't stink! The RodentPro mice I have smell like dirty bedding, and I hate it. Fortunately, now that I have more snakes I can justify spending that much on shipping for TMF mice. :)
 
rodent pro actually has pictures if you click on the names of the time of mouse, and I believe they offer peach-fuzzies, which are an intermediate size. I failed to order some of those, and while vanay is just about 20 grams now, I'm probably going to keep her on large pinks until close to 30 because the fuzzies are all pretty big.

Suzy, yeah I know, he's so huge! It's hard to believe he easily fit in a little deli cup just a few months ago. I agree 100% about TMF. Wade and Aida do too :) When are we going to get updates on your new little guys btw?

yeah, The Mouse Factory has those too. believe me, I was comparing the fuzzies picture to my latest pictures of Wade. There may or may not have been cutting and pasting involved. I was considering RodentPro just because of their intermediate fuzzies, but I hate trying new things so I really want to stick with TMF.

I don't know Wade's exact hatch date, but it was definitely sometime toward the end of June. I tell people it was June 21, because that's my birthday :).

I was a little leery of ordering 50 big pinks. I know Wade probably won't be on them long enough to finish them all, and I don't want to delay bumping him up to fuzzies to cut down on wasted mice because I know fuzzies are more nutritious. Now I figure if I put him on big pinks right away, Aida (who's a few months younger) can finish up the small pinks I have, then finish up whatever big pinks Wade doesn't eat.

What would I do if I only had one snake!

I did post updates of them here - I'll probably get more soon. In the mean time Daisy and Diego. :) I'll post some new stuff on LJ here before too long.

As for ordering that many, I solved that problem by just getting more snakes. ;) That way, you'll never have to worry about having excess mice in the freezer. LOL

My Spike is a June baby and I did his first fuzzy last week Tuesday, he's been on double pinks for a while, on Friday he regurged. :( I've never had a problem with feeding but I guess the fuzzy was just too big. Not to scare you, but yours looks very similar in size to mine, I would wait a bit longer.
 
I do double pinks before fuzzies myself to be on the safe side. I would get the 50 pinks.50 fuzzy combo:)

I DO! There's space in my room for some more too. But see now I can tell myself that it's too cold to have them shipped. I can keeeep telling myself that.

I'm sorry your snake regurged :(. That's definitely what I'm trying to avoid here. Wade's been on double pinks for a while too, which is why I was thinking about switching over, but I'm holding off now.

Thanks, danielle! I ended up just ordering 50 big pinks. I'll order the fuzzies when he gets closer to switching over size so they'll be nice and fresh :)
