Gator Creek, Florida.....

Just, just North of Lakeland is a small park which actually part of the Green Swamp, Withlacoothcee State Park area. There is a two and a half mile hiking trail and a quarter mile paved trail. Both are very nice to hike. The one thing about this area is its a haven for the Gopher Tortoise. I was editing pics for one of my albums and the herping group here on CS. and figured I would post some extra pics here.
BTW, all the Tortoise pics were taken on the same day, same trip. There are alot in the park.....
The park is also known locally for this, simply called, the Lovers....

I've never seen a gator in the park. As a matter of fact I've seen one gator in the more than 300,000 acres the area makes up. That one almost nuetered me. But that is a different story.

Kenzie touches our snakes but is still learning not to squeeze.
