Giving a corn as a gift!!!

I recently got 2 free normal corns from a guy that hatched out a big lot of them!!! They where out of the egg and haven't eaten yet. They were the biggest that hatched yet from his clutch. 1 has eaten 3 small pinks in the past week for me and the other hasn't. My sisters friend loves snakes and holds them all the time when shes over here. I promised to give her a corn if her mom says its ok. Her mom said yes yesterday. I am going to the pet store to get a 20 long for it and all needed supplies(aspen, temp gun, ect ect). I am printing off a care sheet for her soon and I will give it to her and get the cage set up before she gets the snake. I am keeping the one that hasn't eaten yet. I am going to keep my corn in the same setup as hers.

Here is the info on the 20 long mine is in now

20 long with aspen, 84 on the warm side and 72 on the cool side, 1 water dish and a few toilet paper rolls to hide in. Any words of advice would be appreciated

And RA, my best advice to you would be what DAND said. But next on the list would be this: If you give your friend a snake, give them the link for this website and tell her to come here for her advice.

A couple of suggestions:

1) Give her both corns.

Reason: Their chances of survival are infinitely better without your involvement.

2) Let the clueless new keeper that has no knowledge get the supplies and create the set-up.

Reason: Their chances of survival are infinitely better without your involvement.

3) Skip creating a caresheet and just give her the address for this website then quietly walk away.

Reason: Their chances of survival are infinitely better without your involvement.

40 gallon tank??? It was a 28 qt sterilite. Read it better please

the "< 40g" means "less than" 40 gallons..

Welcome to 4th grade math.

And the smaller the tank is, the more pathetic it is that you couldn't find a snake in it.

Yeah, it must have been hard to find a boa in a 28 qt tub.

I have my less than 20" long corns in 32 qt tubs and haven't lost them yet - AMAZING!!!

RA, I agree with CAV, just give your friend the snakes and let her take care of them. If she doesn't lose snakes in 28 qt tubs she is already ahead of the game.

HAHAHA! Really good one CAV! Maybe we should all boycott his posts. I think this is the only way he will maybe stop all this. Everytime RA post, he get 20 posts in no time. I would be curious to see how much time it will last if he had NO responds to his threads. And RA... for someone who have limited internet access at the moment, you post a lot...

I'll be honest here... Everytime i see that he's posted something I look forward to reading it because I can't possibly imagine how he's going to top each lie from before. I'm just amazed that he is able to function in society and/or dress himself correctly on the first try. I realize I'm making assumptions here, but it's all I have at the moment.

Who said he does? I mean how many people can continue to out do themself lie after lie?

:roflmao: No kidding.

Besides, the police aren't nearly as nice about missing child hoaxes as this forum is about missing snakes!

Officer: Is this your child?

R_A: Why yes it is. Where was he?

Officer: In his bed.

R_A: Oh, I didn't think to look there.

If you want to eradicate a behavior, you can either ignore it and hope it goes away, or you can deliberately use desensitation or flooding methods - be extremely careful with flooding (it is not recommended except by psychological professionals), as done wrong it can simply worsen the situation.

Anyone here a psychological professional so we can flood 'im?! :)
