Got my snakes in the mail today!

If it's a minor injury rather than a serious defect, I'm going to ask for the O.K. to breed her when she's bigger. Injuries aren't genetic, right?

If it is in fact an injury (how can you prove it is?), then no, it isn't genetic. However, no one can say with 100% certainty that it is or isn't genetic unless LLL admits to closing her tail in a deli cup, which then IMO you would be entitled to a refund.

Oh snap. (I realize I constantly talk the same, so I'm going to inform you that I'm being serious in this post)

I thought that the vet could determine whether it was an injury or something genetic?

Welll... This complicates things a bit! I highly doubt they'd admit to roughly handling her, considering they've been so.. What's that word for like.. When you run away from things? Agh. It's on the tip of my tongue.

Your vet can give you an educated guess, just like we can...But there is no way to determine 100% either way unless the guilty party admits to it.

Accidents happen. I've even done it to hatchlings before and the babies were no worse for wear other then their slight kinking. The damage I've seen from tails getting trapped in delis was always very minimal and the animals ate and defecated fine despite their slight deformity.

I just got pictures of little Rose Red, but they're hideous quality (because I am not one with the camera.) so I took multiple shots as close up as I could. I've been trying not to handle her too much, incase it is something serious, but she was right up on the lip of her tub when I opened it!

Hmmm.. IMG links work, right?

Bear with me. I loathe technology...

Yes, IMG tags found in Photobucket and the other photo hosting websites work here. Make sure to resize your photos before posting! This can be done right in Photobucket if that's what you used.

Well, I took them with my phone, so I think they come automaticly resized (maybe?). Bah. My brain was born a hundred years before my body. My phone threw the pictures at my email, and my email didn't catch them. Or something.

Maybe it takes a while.
