Twang'em into trees!
Yes, it's been awhile since I've last really lurked around here, but by no means have I forgotten! :) But, I wanted to post my latest super-proud photos...from my ultrasound last Friday. Baby seems to really be on its way!

I love the profile photo, but the one from the 4D Real Time ultrasound was a stunner to me -- my baby looks like a duck with Angelina Jolie lips! Apparently, baby's lips were in full-blown suckling action! The dr said, per the technician's report, that the only photos that were "obstructed" were of the baby's face...go figure!

By the way...I was told when *not* to look if I didn't want to know the baby's gender (little one had its arms up the entire time -- must be my child if it's already an exhibitionist!), but I'll admit: after hearing all kinds of good things about baby's measurements and such, I peeked. ;) How could I even bear to look away for a moment??? So, CornyNoob/Jen, if you're reading this...we could start match-making, if you're interested...;)

My little girl is due at the beginning of March. :dancer:

Thanks for looking!

Congratulations Christina! :dancer:

I love the 4D realtime picture, we have a Grandson due December and I would love to have one of those as a momento!

Best wishes,

How sweet! Congrats! And a girl too... have a name picked out yet?
We do...but we're going to wait on sharing that until March. We *were* supposed to wait on sharing the gender until then, too, so we're just going to save at least a little something until then...:) Thanks!

Congrats! I keep trying to convince my sister she needs to have a girl, but she stopped at 2 boys, darn lol.
Boy, girl...it was all the same to me! :) However, I totally empathize with your sister -- after this baby, I've already told my partner that it's going to be quite awhile until he gets another one of these out of me! :p

Thanks!

Thank you! The 4D photo was a surprise to me! Completely unexpected! Hopefully the dr will stick to her word and schedule a subsequent ultrasound so that we can get a clearer shot of the baby's face. Every time the tech tried to take a shot of her face being "normal," it'd come out blurry! Go figure that my daughter is already being a diva! ;) Congrats on your new grandson, as well! The time will fly & Dec will be here soon enough! :) What a happy holiday that will be!

The line about the duck with Jolie's lips made me laugh so hard, and then I looked at the picture. She does bear a striking resemblance! Haha! But in all seriousness, congratulations on the baby girl!
Name her Ducky Jolie... LOL.

Fortunately, I heard from a friend who is also pregnant & due in Nov that she'd heard that all babies around the same age as mine have a tendency to look that way around that time...phew! :) I hope that my dr will still allow me to go for a follow-up ultrasound to hopefully see her face more clearly...*fingers crossed*! But yes, I do call her Ducky right now...hopefully she won't hate me forever for that. ;)

(And, I can't name her Jolie, or she'll really hate me...Jolie is the name of my bearded dragon!)

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Christina! I am so excited for you! Can't wait to see her in March.... <<Finally someone who can share the no alcohol drink with me!

(I named my daughter, Kelly, after a favorite parrot I had when I was a teenager...)
Hmm, I will keep this piece of wisdom handy for the next child...;)

I haven't been craving alcohol at all -- though teachers certainly have teased me about wanting a drink (with the stress of students, it seems to come with the territory!). However -- I *do* want a rich cup of straight black coffee! I've cut out all coffee since June, and I don't even drink tea much anymore, either. Pretty much, zero caffeine...so, when I have a delish piece of dessert and no coffee, *ugh*, I just about break down. :p (As it is, even if I had decaf, my system would go into such shock that the nightly insomnia that I'm experiencing would go into complete overdrive! I'm having to take Benadryl to try to get a few hours every night!) I'm looking forward to meeting her in March, as well...:) Thanks, Dave!
