This is my little Sunglow that while he eats well, just isn't putting on much weight. I'm wondering if that's why he doesn't really appear to be changing colour? He is getting longer...

He is a late Nov. baby, so he's about 3 weeks old in this picture....

Anyone seeing much of a colour change??

Tried to get the pictures a little larger, but Photobucket and the computer was fighting me... maybe later this evening....

Well, he's pretty gorgeous the way he is...How much does he weigh? My littlest 2007's are 40ish, still. Just switched onto very small fuzzies. Biggest 2007 is about 160.

He only weighs in at 12grams. I gave him a tiny fuzzy the last two feedings. I'm hoping that will encourage him to start putting a little weight on.

Awww he is a handsome little boy. I like his funky pattern. Maybe now he's doing the fuzzies he will get to growing for you. :)

Nice little fellow! :)

One stupid question: how do you tell which is amel motley and which sunglow motley? Motley reduces the amount of white anyway. I have an amel motley hathling here (for sale) and it doesn't have any white. How do I know if it's amel or sunglow or is there even practically any difference?

Sunglows are much more intense in their colouring than amel... the motley gene also tends to slightly mute colours if I remember right. This guy could be nothing but a Sunglow Motley as both were Sunglow Motleys. Unfortunately, they both died this year. He was from their last clutch of three.
