Had a near miss with one of my corns :(

I had recently moved my older corn Cleo into her adult viv. I noticed that sometimes the glass doors of the viv were opening slightly and put it down to part of the top of the viv being loose so after it was fixed I removed the sticky tape from the door and went to work. My partner drives me there and when he got in he noticed the cats weren't there to great him. An hour after I left he went upstairs to find that the door had been opened and both cats has cornered cleo behind the cabinet. She was coiled, rattling and striking at him after he shooed the cats and tried to pick her up. She almost escaped under the bed but my partner managed to grab her and put her back in the viv with only a few small bites to his hand.

Goes without saying I've now invested in a lock for my viv. Beware if you have cats! Cheeky things learned how to open the door and poor cleo went to investigate. When I got back from work I checked her over and couldn't see any wounds and she's eaten a mouse fine. Phew. Note that my viv doors were the sliding glass kind and didn't have handles.

I baby sat a king snake for my school once, and he got out without me knowing. My cat was staring very intensely at my computer printer, so I checked it and oh my! A snake!
