Handling: 2 days after feeding or 3?

Hi,
I'm new to the snake world. I've been looking on the internet for the average rate of digestion for a corn snake, but haven't found much (i'll be buying the corn snake manual soon). So I guess I'll just ask a direct question: should I handle my snake 2 days after feeding or 3? I don't want him to toss his cookies or compromise his biological functions in any way. He's a 10-12 inch hatchling. I fed him thursday, and it is now sunday. He was very active last night (saturday). would the high activity level be a good indicator of when he is ready to be handled after digesting?

I wait 48 hours. Other people wait three days. I don't think the snake's activity level is that great of an indicator because of my snake Choco. After I put Choco back from being fed, he continues to cruise around the rest of the evening. He's also out the next day! He's pretty much always out and active.

haha ok. thank you nanci :) Thank you for your response. I would never handle him before 2 days is up anyway, but I couldn't help but wonder if there was a correlation. Obviously there isn't one haha.

Well, I think most normal snakes have a period of rest/digestion/inactivity. Choco just wants to be out. Maybe I've never filled him up!! But I doubt that; I've fed him some triple meals when I didn't have the right size single, and he looked like a string of sausages, and was still out and active...

hahaha that is such a funny mental image....string of sausage. well my snake could be like that too, who knows! he's young. If your snake acts the same way even right after eating, I'd rather not risk it for my snake. lol Maybe I am not feeding him enough?? Should I be feeding two pinkies a week or one? I keep seeing sources that say one or two, so I guess it's up to each individual snake.

I thought the rule of thumb was 2 days or the first big poo, whichever comes later. Or is the poo thing just to make sure she doesn't let go all over your arm?

2-3 days, it really depends on my schedule too. Sometimes 2 sometimes 3.
But there will be times on the 2 days after when you can tell she's getting ready to poo cause theres a big thickness down by her vent in which case I just put her down and wait till day 3.
