Handling after a shed

My snake just shed (yay) it all came off in one piece from what i can tell, for sure her eyecaps came off, but im not exactly sure if her entire tail shed completely or not. But what my real question is: is there a certain amount of time after a shed before we should begin handling her again? Or can we just start right away? Thanks for your help in advance.

wow kool so your snake went through with it and shed then??? thats probably the reason why you sed she was being cranky! youl know what to look for next time!
mine has not yet shed. did her eyes go blue before she shed?

I think it is ok to handle them right after they shed, I don't handle right afterwards because I can see how my snake is breathing hard and I don't want to stress him. But since you snake shed a while ago you should be ok. ;)

My little Calamity seems to be a bit sensitive to handling right after a shed, twitching her skin away from being touched, so I usually wait at least a day after shed before handling her. The others don't seem at all bothered, so just see how it goes with your snake.

No her eyes didn't go blue, but I think thats because she's an amel, but her eyes did get really dull looking, sort of not shiny anymore.

Mine are usually really hungry the day they shed, because they haven't eaten for a week to ten days. So usually it's just a brief handling to check them over and say "hi, I've missed you!" and then they get fed and not handled for another two days. None of mine mind being handled after shedding, though. They all seem livelier than usual.

hey.
i was just wondering. did your snake become less grumpy and more happy once he had shed his skin? cos you sed he was a bit cranky didnt you? so has he gone bak to his usual self now?

Yeah she has settled down a bit. Though she does still seem a little skittish. She does let me hold her now though.
