Happy New Year, Your Resolutions?

Jdizzyfizzy

George!
Well, my New Years Resolution is:

For the Internet:
Learn to controll my anger, paranoia, and ignorance,
to BE nice, and To make some more friends on here, to make this post a last sorry to all them i have offended in my time here,
For A Fresh Start!

For Real Life:
To look after Damien, Keep Him Healthy and cool, Get a Viv :p

I do have one request, please lock all my threads that have got out of hand, thats for the good of the forum, thank you

now whats your internet and real life resolutions? and your comments on mine, if this is on the "spam" section I'm sorry, just delete it..

I've always got a few.

First and foremost, I definitely want to exercise more and eat smarter. I feel as though I am getting fat, and regardless of how many times the S.O. tells me I am crazy to think it, I want to get back to my days of lean, muscular fitness. The mere idea that I am "going soft" is making me crazy! :eek1:

Beyond that... I always strive to be a better teacher. I'd like to be nicer to my first period class, because I feel like I am always snapping at them due in part to the early hour (our classes start at 7:40 AM) and also in part to their personality as a class. But I will try....

As far as snakes go, I'd like to get one or two more this coming breeding season- most notable a Mexican Black Kingsnake, and possibly a California Kingsnake, high white. There's a few corns I've been oogling as well.

Work out more/eat healthier, etc.

Maintain a balance between having a good relationship with my family, my friends, and my girlfriend

Keep my animals in good health

Keep my grades decent

Get a job.

I'd like to quit smoking, but it ain't gonna happen tomorrow! Tomorrow always seems to be too soon for that... :awcrap:

Yeah that's my main objective, but it also ain't happening tomorrow!
My oldest daughter just informed me that she received her engagement ring, and I'm, let's say, not overjoyed. I try to keep an open mind but when your daughter is in love with a "human pin cushion" it's tough :grin01:

I didn't know you and Mike both smoked. Please do try hard to quit so you guys don't end up like most of my family.

Im going to try to get more involved in school,

Give more attention to my corns,

And be an overall better person. Yep going to be pretty hard to do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!

For the internet:
Teach people how to use the Spell Check.

For Real life:
Get in better shape and earn my black belt. (Which I may have to wait until early 2008 to test for)

I am also going to quit smoking...but again...tomorrow just seems "too soon". I hate it when my daughter sees me smoking. I do all I can to make sure she is nowhere around me when I smoke, and I only smoke outside to avoid any second-hand issues. But it is definately a tough habit and addiction to kick.

I also plan on picking up a corn snake or two this coming year. My current snake is actually my daughter's snake, and so, daddy needs a couple of his own ;). A butter motley and an abbott's okeetee would be really nice...

And I want to get back in climbing shape. When I was rockclimbing every week, I was in extremely good shape, and I would love to have that physical ability back. This one should be easy, though. The strength is still there, it just has some insulation on top, now ;). I only need to lose about 5 lbs to be back where I was 2 years ago...

Other than that, I just want to be the best father I can possibly be. My ex is going back to school this summer, so that means I will have my daughter full-time, 24/7, instead of 3 days a week, every week, which will be a HUGE change for both of us, but a challenge I am definately looking forward to.

Good Luck to all with resolutions. I hope you all succeed on the important ones.

goodluck mate, my mums smoked all her life, then when she got pregnent 8 months ago she just stopped, and never talked about it ever again its like shes never smoked before.

I am going for the "not gonna let myself down" approach this year...
So my New Years Resolution is to smoke twice as many cigarettes, drink twice as much/often (coffee and booze) and double my weight by next year. :grin01: :sidestep:
