Wooo, 85 degrees is a bit too warm I think. I believe the target temps are more like 80-83 F

The heat pad will probably be fine if the tempts look ok... you might want to have it on a rheostat (dimmerswitch + extension cord, can find them for a little over $10 at most any goodsized hardware store)

Good luck with those eggs! Do you have an idea of what you will do with the hatchlings? Often nearby reptile stores are happy to buy hatchlings from small breeders :)

85 is actually just fine. Not too hot, not too cold. You don't want to get much higher than 85, and not much lower than 80, but there is a little fudge space.
 
Well i think it's fine now, my brother bought a thermostat thing so that it always keeps it around 80 to 85 degrees, oh and when they hatch my brother said he would sell them to a pet store, but i have aksed him if i could have one and he agreed :D
