Hatchling Tubs

I have 6L sterilite with binder clips on the lids. I drilled 1/8" holes and used a sanding block to smooth down the inside holes. This is for red mountain ratsnakes though not a corns. Do you think the holes are about the right size. After sanding, I washed the tubs with a non-scented dish soap and water. I think I got all the standing grit out but does anyone know if that is harmful to reptiles if a tiny amount is still clinging to the wall or anything?

I had to go find my drill set, as I couldn't picture the 1/8 bit in my head. That should be fine for a typical sized hatchling coxi, they usually tend to be a hair bigger when they hatch than corns and their bodies are a bit bigger around than a corn's.
