Heating... whole room or rack?

It's not that I'm manually controlling anything. I do have a rheostat and a Thermometer that keeps track of temps. I've been keeping snakes for a couple years now so I know how it's done. ;) But this is my first summer with snakes in Arkansas (previously lived in North Carolina) and between the humidity and heat around here my pads/tape get hot than they are supposed to. Even with a Rheostat.

I'm already working to rectify this situation by replacing my cheap Rheostat with an actual Thermostat of better quality. The one I have just doesn't have a low enough setting on it. But I do have the situation under control.

Hey, sorry if I sounded rude, I'm sure you know what you're doing. I had the same setup not long ago.

Thermostats are well worth it though. I even have one hooked to a space heater in my snake room, but I only use it during the cold winter.
