I just bought my first cornsnake a few days ago. I haven't had her sexed but I call it a she as a reference. And she came into an all female household so if she were a he it'd be out of place. Anyways, her name is Lucy.
I'm a first time snake owner and was told that corns were a good beginner snake. Lucy I've noticed is more active at night and tends to hide most of the time but around 8 PM will come out and actively explore her tank. (she's being kept in a 29 gallon aquarium) Am having handling issues as she was not handled much in the petstore (obviously). She has not struck at me yet but goes into the position if I get too near her. According to the petstore she is a couple months old and is about 18 inches (45 cm) long. I'm trying to figure her coloring out but is predominantly a light pinkish orange with darker bands.
