Hello Everyone!

Bobbi

New member
hello there, im pretty new to corns (just got my first) and it would seem that ive only been a member on this site for a few hours lol. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and to ask that you please be patient with me and try not to laugh at all the newbie questions im probably going to ask :p annny ways i came across my new little girl in an odd sort of way, a friend of mine emailed me about a snake that someone else was getting rid of and she warned me that she was in pretty rough shape. Knowing that i can't see an animal be neglected i did as much research as i could in the 24 hours before she was going to call my home her own. I've taken her to the vet and all her health seems fine other than the fact that she is a little underweight and she has a wicked scar down the side of her face (from what ill never know) I've only had her for two days now so i haven't had a chance to handle her just yet but she has struck at me through the glass and i swear that tail rattling is her favorite past time lol. I'm not sure what morph she is or if she even is one lol but i will get pics posted up as soon. keep an eye out and maby someone a little more informed can tell me what she is.

Welcome Bobbi & congrats on your new snake!
This is a great place to learn about your new addiction. I have learned so much from the wonderful people here!
It's great that you got her to the vet right away! Did the vet run any tests, or just visual exam? Do you know about how old your girl is?

I agree with nwheather, it is a great site with some awesome people with loads of experience and information! I am so glad to hear that the little lady now has a loving home! Good Luck! :)

oh ya! I've been here and probably have driven them all nuts. Learned a lot though! I've only been here 2 weeks and have lots of posts. too many!

Welcome and congratulations on your new family member!

This is the place to ask questions!

Facial scars often come from mouse attacks... Although it could be from something else.

Sounds like you are going to be a good owner.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful words of encouragement :) The vet just did a visual exam, the scar on her head doesn't look like it was from a rodent bite (so says the vet) more like a really bad pinch...maby she got caught under something? either way its healed up nicely but it doesn't look like anything that will ever go away. I'm not so patiently waiting for Wednesday to roll around so i can have the chance to hold her lol its tough but i think ill pull through lol i figured a week of uninterrupted settling in is about all i can handle for now here is a pic for all of you to enjoy :) sorry about the horrible quality its taken through the glass form the other side of the room so i didn't disturb her too much

you can kinda see her scar in this one...she looks like she has an "ear" on the one side of her head

This just in! SHE ATE!! i was told she was on pinks when i got her but just looking at her size i could tel that pinkies were WAY too small, I haven't got a scale yet so i eye balled the biggest part of her body and tried to get an appropriately sized meal for her, hoppers looked about right so i went ahead and thawed one out for her. Took her literally 2 seconds to strike at it and it disappeared in less than 10 min lol what a trash compactor :p
hopefully with the right sized meals offered for a few months she wont look so skinny, you can see her bones all the way down, just another sign that someone didn't care for this little girl properly at all :(
