Hello!

found the forum and introducing myself.

I was looking to get my first snake, originally I was going to get a ball python. Then I seen pic's of blood red and blizzard corn snakes now i want 2.

So far I have a 40 gallon tank that I bought at petco, when they had a $1 per gallon sale last month. Made 2 hides out of tp rolls, cut in half and hot glued 2 together to make it sturdy in case they climbed on top. also have the water bowl, aspen bedding a hygrometer that's been salt tested for accuracy and have the heat pad, thermostat, some foliage and infrared thermometer in the mail. I also have some wood cut up and stripped to make a climbing surface, but I have no idea what kind it is so i'm trying to trace it down by the bark color as it had no leaves

Are you planning to house both together? If so, please reconsider - cohabbing corns is occasionally done but frowned upon by the vast majority of keepers, as it is stressful for the snakes.

Oh god no i wouldn't ever house them together as i know they can be cannibalistic it's rare but happens. I'll be getting a 20 gal long and heat mat for the 2nd or get sweater boxes to house them in on top of the 1 heat mat.

Hello and welcome. It is good to see someone who is prepared before purchasing their first snake. Kudos to you for doing your research & preparation first. Please post pictures of your newly acquired babies - there are lots of people on here who would love to help you acquire your first snake :)
