hey everyone, i'm planning on getting a normal here in the next month or so but i can't decide who to buy from.

would anyone like to suggest a good breeder who ships and possibly post pics with name of breeder you got your normals from?

i love the look of the okeetee's and really love those that end up with deep yellow, but have seen a lot of okeetee's without much yellow at all. I'm just worried i'll end up with a mostly red/orange okeetee and be disappointed.

do some research on Local breeders and you minimize shipper.

Go with a well known breeder and your more prone to get quality. (nothing against your local breeders)

You'll find many well known breeder cruising on here as well.

Will this be your first Snake/Corn Snake?

no, I just got a ghost from the local pet shop and absolutely LOVE her, but now I need more and want some variety in color. would also love to get a butter motley, but we'll see.

the only breeder locally has been promising a friend of mine a corn snake for over a year and still hasn't delivered

I would say going with someone that has a good reputation is well worth the price of the snake and the price of shipping.

If you want a normal and just want the variety in color but don't have any desire to one day breed, then I would also look on your local craigslist or hoobly or something like that. There are tons of unwanted snakes for whatever reason.

This is how I just got my two rescue kings. A young girl posted several months ago on craigslist about a snake, she gave that one to a school group. Then she emailed me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like two of her problem feeders FREE. I said sure... now I have two lovely King snakes.

Good Luck and I can't wait to find out what you get.

oh boy... i've found a reptile expo 1-1/2 hours from me... i'm really looking forward to going and seeing and i might just come home with a new addition (hoping i find something irresistable). lol should i take a box with me "just in case" or do the sellers usually have something to put them in?

They'll be in deli cups usually, so will be easy to transport.
Good luck on your search

I'll be at that reptile show as well on March 29th..I've gone everytime they have the show..lol..and I'll be getting another snake!! yay!! can't wait..this will be my fourth!

Good luck on your snake hunt as well...I currently have a normal myself..They aren't that bright as babies but as they grow their colors are beautiful! :0)

The one in Mars, PA? How cool! Is there a good turn out there? I'm hoping to find me a normal. I just love their vibrant colors as adults!

The one I"m going to is in Northeast Hampton I believe...not in Mars..if the one in Mars is closer to you then I wish ya luck and hope you have a good time..If you want I can get ya some info on the one in Hampton as well..

Where are you in PA? I have three '07 normals left here, from a locality Okeetee X Anery A

That is Kathy's picture of Star, I don't have any good pics of her yet but I have had her for over a month and she is still perfectly healthy :)

This is Kathy's site if you want to look at her snakes

Hmmm...think i bent the rules a bit, as the above could be construed as advertising by a noncontributing member...so, autumn75 if your interested and close to Hanover I'll give you a normal...that way it's not advertising...well, not advertising for the sake of money ;)

I'm in Oil City, Venango County. Not sure where Hanover is though? Those are gorgeous normals! (love the one in the second pic)
