SO...I have gone to five of my favorite forums and asked for some name requests for my new baby burmese python girl. She is a doll, very tame, and just an all around sweetheart.

I have gathered six names to choose from and I will add all the votes together from all five forums at the end of the day and whoever has the most votes, wins the name :)

Here is a photo Leave comments !!! I love to talk, haha.

P.S. Yes, I know how big a baby burm will grow to be, how large of an enclosure it will need, safety precautions, what it will eat, ect. Thanks for all those making sure though! I can understand why you ask, haha. :p

Personally I would just go with cookie, though peanut butter works too.

But man now I really want ice cream reading those names. :p

It's good to see someone who doesn't commit to a burm until they do know. I look at CL pretty often and feel really sorry for these poor burms who got too big for their owners. I know snakes don't get attached to their owners in the way that cats & dogs do, but they do seem to recognize individuals & have preferences in who handles them, so it has to stress the snake out when it is rehomed and rehomed as it grows.

I won't give you the lecture, as I think you probably know a LOT more than I do about burms. But I think that if people here are giving it to you it's because of concern for your well being and your baby's future well being, not because they think you are stupid or ignorant.

I saw in the other thread about this girl that you are prepared to provide her with an 8 foot enclosure IIRC. It's really cool you understand her future housing needs when she is still small enough to hold with one hand.

I know a lot of snake people and I cannot have children (says the doctor) so I have become really attached to my reptiles.

I know they are not calling me an idiot, haha. I actually appriciate that they are concerned as they should be because of all the dumb people out there who don't know what they are doing. Just trying to 'calm down' how many times I have to explian, haha. As I am in 5 forums right now doing this so ... 5 x 5 = 25 ect...can get tiring explaining it over and over :) But I really don't mind too much.

And I can hear you on the craigslist thing. I believe snakes have preferences...my spider ball python has shown me that much :) He will strike at my boyfriend all the time, but never at me...it doesn't matter if I smell like a mouse, get him from his feed bin, ect...he has never once struck at me...but ... he does not like my boyfriend, hahaha.

My other thread explain why I can't do just 'cookie' haha.

--My boyfriend named MY snake 'Cookie'...I am not a simplistic woman...I like complex and unique names that are still cute...sooo...my boyfriend refuses to stop calling it cookie as he can't remember any other names I come up with for her, haha. We have gone through this with all my snakes :)

Here are some Examples

Chocolate Drizzle aka 'Cocoa' (cocoa being the name my bf made for him)
Fanta Cee aka Fanta ( " " )

So yeah, Cookie will be it's short name...but I need something fancy for myself :)

Put it in your signature. Oh, BTW, the forum owner doesn't like really long sigs -- I'd try to shrink yours down if I were you. No offense but there was a flap about really long signatures around the time I joined here so I thought I'd mention it.

That's exactly why I say they do have preferences. They will be calm and gentle with one person and strike at another even though both have snake experience & handle the snake correctly. They can taste our smells and I am sure they can tell us apart by smell just like dogs can, so why wouldn't they have preferences?

Yeah, there's actually a rule that it can't be longer than...I think it's 5 lines, but could be 4. So instead of going down...I went across! :)

I went with Chip's Ahoy because I would actually have said Chocolate Chip Cookie, because that's exactly what she looks like! I kinda liked Cookie Monster, especially because she's gonna be a monster snake, but when I think of Cookie Monster, I think blue! LOL

A lot of people like 'Cookie Monster' haha.

I was thinking Chocolate chip Cookie too but that is a bit common and a mouthful, hahaha...so I put Chip's Ahoy.

OK - I have to make my smart mouth commit

I chose COOKIE MONSTER because like Cookie Monster on TV she will eat allot of cookies and she will grow up to be a monster.

I real do miss my big snakes.

Love the Fatman

P.S. She is a good looking little girl.

Thanks :) She is my baby...great photo taker too...most my snakes run and hide from my camera...she soaks it up...and poses, lol. She is very 'tongue' active too....lots of tongue shots.

I guess all her rats/rabbits are now cookies :) :) :) I can't wait for her to start growing though...yet I know when she gets big I will wish for her to be little again, haha...just like all my others :)

One little thing...the plurals, like chips and cookies and crumbles should not have apostrophes! (Sorry- book editor...)

And I voted for Snickerdoodle. I _love_ homemade snickerdoodles!! I think that is the first thing I have memories of baking.

She has been named :)

THE COOKIE MONSTER!!!!

SnickerDoodle 13
Cookie Monster 20
Cookie's and Cream 3
PeanutButter Fudge 4
Chip's Ahoy 4
Hershey's Cookie Crumbles 2

People you name a cat, Snicker Doodle, then you feed the Snicker Doodle to the Cookie Monster.

OK - before anyone kills me I have a cat named Snicker Doodle. OK - you got me again it is my wifes and daughters cat and no one is going to feed that loveable cat to anything but me. A Korean lady showed me how to fry cat in a skillet.

Ok, I got to go I am getting hungry. Where is that frying pan again and I hope I can fine the neighbors cat or dog.

Sorry for the sick humor.

Love the Fatman
