Well then you missed his shed it happens especially with lighter colored snakes like amels. Search the viv for the rest and give him a once over to make sure he got it all off. If not and it sounds like he didn't soak him in warm water for an hour and gently with a wash cloth allow his to climb through it using pressure to get the rest of the shed off
I would try doing a soak to get the rest of the shed off. Soak in water about 75*F for about 30 minutes to an hour with a washcloth in the soaking tub. The water should just cover the washcloth. Make sure the water isn't too hot. You don't want to cook your snakie!
I will have to go through the Viv really good tomorrow as for my snake he looks as though he would normally, my miamis really havent changed color at all grey and brown
