I had a corn a few months back and I kept it a plastic tub with a lid and a lil open hatch on it, and it had a hole in the top for a probe to go in for temp reading, but he managed to push its self out of the whole, now i have covered the whole up for my new snake and have to keep a box on top of it, i dont want this one escaping, where can I get a decent safe and secure tank in the UK
please help me, im not new at this but my area doesnt have many good shops, my corn is a hatchling so I need a small tub
 
Do you have kritter keepers in London? I just did a search and found Sauvic Fauna Boxes on Aquatics Online. These look like the little boxes I used for my corns before moving them up to tanks.
 
Have you checked Amazon.UK, or Ebay.UK? Maybe Exo Terra. If they're available, search high and low for a Zilla Slide Lock Lid Critter Cage.
 
yeah I have they are like 60 quid and i cant afford that... i need something around 20 or 30 quid ... there isnt big pet shops in london and i live in a small town outiside of london so i really dont know what to do
 
I think you may have to keep on top of ads in the papers (Craiglist type). Maybe you can build your own! There are so many great ideas in our own DIY thread. Check there.
 
thanks for your help, but ill have to travel somewhere in the next holiday i get, because the only tanks i can find are the same unsecure make i already have

Hiya,

I live in Middlesex also! There are a couple of places near here (Ruislip) but the internet might be your best bet. I used ebay. Or have you thought about a Really Useful Box?

What size is your snake?
 
I bought a 10 gallon aquarium from next door with a screened latching lid. Those may be easier to find used than a reptile habitat.
