help!!!!!!!

On that topic, last year when I still worked at a pet shop this guy bought a hatchling corn. After telling him to feed frozen pinkies (obviously prethawed) he brings the snake back - dead- a week later! i was bamboozled!!! anyway post mortem revelaed that he had chopped a pinkie in 2 and when the snake tried to eat it the bones actually stabbed its insides and it slowly bled internally to death!! My personal advice would be to throw the old pinkie away and get another 1. I mean how much do you guys in the states pay for pinkies?

Pinkies don't have any bones.....

Whoever told you that was obviously mistaken.... :shrugs:

excuse me but last I checked and yeh hold on, that would be in my vertebrate course for Zoology, mice, Rodents - Vertebrata. The bones may be soft when they young but check it out hey, Definately bones

Just soft tissue.....

I defy you to cut open a pink and find anything even resembling a bone. They aren't developed into hard tissue in small pink mice. There certainly isn't anything that will puncture the digestive tract of a snake. Sorry. :)

This is why I tell people to stay away from pet shops. When have you heard of a pinkie with bones hard enough to pierce a snakes insides? Do you know how many times, pepole I sold snakes to ,go to the pet store for a pinkie and come home with a fuzzy or a crawler. They tell me it looks to big for my snake to eat,so they bring it over my house and it turns out not to be a pinkie at all. What do they say to me ? The guy in the pet store told me it is a pinkie and I told him I was feeding a baby corn and it looks to big for my snake to eat. the pet store tells them well you ask for a pinkie and thats what I gave you.Snakes can eat items much larger than you think. How many times any of you out there have had to force feed baby corns and the pinkie brakes? Then you have ram chunks of broken pinkie down it's throat? I never lost one yet in 19 years from a pinkies bones pierceing the inside of a baby snake and I'm shure I never will never will. Now a fuzzy or a crawler that sounds beliveable. Vinman
