ok so i've had my adult yellow rat snake about 40 inches long, a while and i know your supposed to feed them about 1 and 1/2 her thickest part of her body but how often because we'll feed her a hopper mouse and she'll surface to the top like she'd still hungry so we'll feed her another and she acts like shes still hungry she'll eat 3 at a time every 10 to 14 days ... is this normal?? will they just keep eating or do you think she's really that hungry?? any advice would be appreciated ... thanks :)
 
If the hopper is 1 1/2 times her girth, just give her one once a week or so. Sometimes they don't know when to stop. it is natural for them to eat as much as they can in the wild because they may be unable to find food again for a long time, but in captivity this leads to a fat snake.
