WEll, this time hes definatly escaped. Hes been gone about 4 days now. We thought he was still in the bedroom so we set pop bottle traps but nothing....Now im thinking he could have gotten out of the room, as he could have been missing since friday but we did not realise until saturday.

Getting kinda worried about him....Hes only small....

BUMMER. Looks like a really pretty snake too. I had 2 escapees, 1 was found in my panty drawer the other has been gone 3 months now. Somebody suggested I look in the frig. motor, I didn't find mine there but it is worth a quick check. Don't lose hope, I have heard some nutty stories about them turning up way later in way weird places. My "feeder breeder" found one of his outside going across the sidewalk some 3-4 months later. Good luck and keep us posted!

check around the washer and drier if you have one, my buddy found his there a few times, seems like a good heat source. hope it works out for you, ivebeen lucky so far, my lids slides on nice and tight and he hasnt gotten out yet, might put a rock on his lid though jut in case tomorrow

Setting plastic grocery bags all around the house makes it easy to hear when the snake moves over the bags, just be sure to be continually on the look-out.

Did you check closet shelves???

I don't know if this will help or not, just another story of where someone else found their escaped corn, but when our corn got ( thanks to the cat - that is another story though -which you don't want to get me started on lol )

Anyway when he escaped we looked high and low and found him quite accidentally, while moving some stuff up off the floor we had checked already and low and behold he was on the shelf in the closet.

We still to this day have no idea of how he got up there since there was nothing in that closet except on comforter on the floor but he ended up on a shelf 5 1/2 feet up in the air.

So I have learned that truly no place is beyond reason for them to get to. It couldn't hurt to check.

Good luck

P.S. Here is a site that might help you find your corn

I also have this site you can read, which will give you a bit of info on missing snakes and how to find them

http://www.anapsid.org/escapedsnake.html

My favorite and often not used bit of information at that site is where it says:

The best way to lose an animal is to think like a human. The best way to find an animal is to think like that animal, to view the world from its point of view and perspective. Just because you have no desire to squeeze out of a comfy enclosure, crawl around the perimeter of the room, up into a bookcase and stash yourself into a box of disposable gloves doesn't mean that your ball python or corn snake doesn't want to do it!

Good luck, hope this helps.

There's still hope

My little guy escaped Friday night (I think), I went looking for him Saturday night and he was already gone!! My dining area & living room are all connected so I started checking the living room closet, tore the couch apart thinking he couldn't have gone far. The snakes cages are in the dining area but there are truly no hiding places in there!! So after I tore everything apart including opening all the books and shaking them from the book shelf I gave up. Hopefully I'll find him soon. I have 4 kids and play Monopoly all the time so we went to go get the game that one of the kids had left on the dining room floor, about 3 feet away from the cages, opened it up and my baby was inside. Stupid me, I looked under the game box, not even thinking he would be inside!

Still don't know how he got out. He's in a 10 gallon with a locking lid. I've put books on the top of his cage now "just in case".

Good luck to you. I know how stressed you are and everywhere you walk, your eyes are searching for just a tiny glimpse that you'll see him!!

My 6 week old butter went missing after I didn't close her viv well enough and she turned up a week later in the bathroom after we'd turned the appertment upsidedown 4 times a day for a week! Don't give up just yet!

i had the same problem with tallulah when i didnt tape up the front of the tank one night... it has sliding doors and she got out between them.

but thankfully we found her the next morning in the underwear draw, probably because it was just below the heat mat... they usualy dont go far. just check all warm dark places.

you never know he/she may just pop out right in front of you!!

best of luck

Don't lose hope!!! My sister's baby milk snake was gone for 6 weeks last summer (the record for my house so far) and it was very much alive when i found it. Since i got my first snake when i was five, i lost it alot, but it was always found. I have found that the snakes will be drawn to the bathroom after awhile in serch of water. also, if your snake is small, have you looked in the vents? Mine did that once and i couldn't get it out so i turned to air way up and he came out in like five minutes. Anyway, mine awalys seem to turn up after awhile so i wish you luck!!!
