Im a new owner here in Delaware, about to graduate this spring in animal science. I got 2 female cornsnakes a month or so ago, one miami phase and one okeetee, both born in aug. I came across this site in almost every search I did with cornsnakes, so thought Id register and become a regular poster.
Id always been fascinated by snakes, and finally decided after playing with my friends for months that why dont I get one?
...so here I am with my 2 wonderful ladies and couldnt be happier!

Welcome to the forum! This place is full of great information and great people willing to listen and talk about any issues you may have :0) Can't wait to see pics of your snakes :0)

How do I upload pics?
I went to the attatchments tab in the user cp, and it just says no attatchments... cant find where to upload. Im either blind or just looking in the wrong area. haha

When replying to a thread, scroll down to additional options and click on manage attachments. You should then be able to browse your documents. You may have to resize your pics. I find paint the easiest way to do this.

these are my 2 littl ones... 1st is dakota- always getting into trouble, 2nd is samantha... a little shyer, but sweet

Aw, so cute and pretty! Thanks for sharing. I don't know about anyone else but even before I received my snake in the mail I found myself looking at lots of photos of different corn snake morphs! Hehe.

BTW, we lived in DE for a few years, in the Dover area, Dover AFB to be exact. We were there before we moved here in 2005.

Sam looks like the trouble one to me.... I think she blames everything on Dakota :)

Welcome to the forum! Great group of people hang out here.

Not me, I didn't even like snakes, but did really like the ghost that was in Kathy Love's first book. Fairly ironic that my first snake was a son of that one.... well actually, I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise :D

So have you found yourself with a preference yet? Dark? Light? Red? Pink? Purple? No Pattern? Bizarre patterns? Uniformed patterns? Vanishing Patterns? Come one, come all, cornsnakes will fit all tastes :)

But of course, my favorite morph is the one I own, the Abbott's Okeetee...
with regular Okeetee's coming in second, and probably the dark red Bloodreds coming in third. I guess you could say I tend to like the darker colors. I also seem to prefer a very organized and prominent pattern. In other words, either a solid dark color or dark colors with a prominent pattern. Hope that makes sense!

I'd have edited my previous post but I can't find an edit option, anyone?

But anyway, right after I posted, the words I was looking for to better describe my preference came to mind... I like seeing a high contrast organized pattern on a corn snake, with the darker colors. :D
