Hey Rich....

Too Far Gone
Do you think you will be having the 50% off sale again this year? I would be very interested in buying some animals. Not that I wouldn't buy them if you didn't. I think that is an awesome thing and is really worth.

Thanks Charlene

I haven't made up my mind if I am going to do that or not this year. Some things that were slow movers last year aren't going to have very many of them produced this year. Heck I think I still have 60 Butter Motleys left over from last year so why bother to produce any more this year?

So I need to think about how, or if, I want to do that sale this year.

So what'd you do with the butter motley females? :)

Any super top secret projects?

No, not really secrets at all. I felt they were better off being bred by my GoldDust male instead. Actually that GoldDust male and the two Ultra males I have are getting quite a workout this year. I just hope I don't get stupid and want to keep all of the results this year. :crazy02:

Golddust being ultramel caramel or ultra caramel? I've seen it both ways. I know in some older threads you had called them ultra caramels, and then recently maybe ultramel caramels.

Anywho, that'll be a fun bin of babies.

Golddust (ultramel caramel) x Butter Motley =

ultramel caramel het motley, butter het motley. Right?

Golddust (Ultra Caramel) x Butter Motley =

Ultramel caramel het motley, right?

If you're referring to Golddust as the ultramel caramel then I'd assume you would keep the golddusts that you get from the bunch and part with the butters het motley since you definitely have no need for those. Or do you anticipate getting rid of some of the ultramel caramels het motley provided that you dont have crazy Rich Z odds?

Or, is it just really late and I dont know what I'm talking about? :shrugs:

Doh, I just saw that you've got ultra males going too.

I guess that's going to give you some ultramels het caramel motley too. I'm assuming again that selling those depends on the sex of clutches and your odds?

Based on the results I got last year from that GoldDust male, he has to be Ultramel Caramel. Matter of fact, if I would get off my duff and do an inventory of remaining 2004 animals, I am thinking seriously about surplusing all of the Caramel babies produced from him last year. When I look at the numbers of probable keepers this year, I had better reduce what I had marked as keepers from last year.

Heck, I guess taking them to Daytona Beach won't be a bad idea. I should have an interesting crop of animals to sell there this year. Some might not even show up on my price list......... :)

I'd assume those are either caramels het ulta, or caramels het ultra motley?

Any idea on a price tag for those if you decide to dump some at Daytona?

No, not sure on the price. I have to check because I think some of them may be the results of breeding the GoldDust to Amber, so I may want to hang on to those particular ones for a bit.

Hm, an ultramel amber?

Drool.

So.....what are the details on the 50% off sale? 2004 or 2005 hatchlings? What morphs? (new guy question)...

I hope to have my 2005 price list finished by this weekend. I will decide at that time on whether or not I am doing a 50 percent sale this year.

I've added some new cultivars available and am putting in some updated photos as well. Most of the eggs have been dropped for the season, so I can make better informed estimates of exactly what I will have available for sale this upcoming year.

Thanks.
