Hides Out of Bottles

Hey guys well i just had an idea. could i get an old coke bottle, paint it then use it as a hide? Im getting my snake in a few weeks so i wanna get ready for him/her now.
Thanks, Mike

Are you talking about those plastic 2 liter bottles? I'm sure you could, just rinse them off obviously. You can make hides out of almost anything, of course they don't always LOOK nice though. XD

I'm one to talk, in one of my snake tanks is a poptart box with "windows" cut in it and a terra cotta pot.

The only problem I can foresee is that fact that you won't be able to remove the snake for any reason if the only entrace/exit is the little hole at the top...

My hatchling has a sample sized "Fiber One" box... and it's her favorite, too. :D

Depending on the size of the snake get some PVC and sand the ends so they're soft

Make sure the snake can fit without getting stuck. Snakes like dark tight places to be sometimes.

That's a very good idea, and one I've been considering. My '06 is out growing paper towel rolls...

Whatever I use, or however I arrange it.....I do so in a manner that I can get my hands on my snake (colubrid) in a matter of seconds if necessary.

I use the plastic dog bowls with the handles cut into them so it doubles as a hide and water bowl.... and they're only a couple bucks...

i use the plastic water bowls for dogs n cut my own entrance holes with a dremmel.. ill do a tutorial on them someday if anyone wants to know how lol i always get the dog bowls from the dollar store lol
