Hello guys, Just wondered how you can lower your humidity level in your Viv's? it's at 70% witch is pretty high, although my rooms rather warm and so is his Viv, so is it maybe broke? I thought maybe putting the humiditymeter and thermometer are not telling the right levels because there led on the back on the bottom of the Viv rather then on there sides, not sure, just wondered thats all : )

You can increase the ventilaiton some how, maybe install vents? Put in a smaller water bowl. Hate to do that, though.

Look on the back of my cages- they each have two 3" vents. The vents are put in from the inside and have a lip so they can't be pushed through, then are bent over on the outside of the cage. They are less than 1/4" wide.

Well I actually do have a Viv lid, it fits the 2ft tank too, Damien is back in his old tank now, it's a really nice set-up : ) however the 2ft viv lid has a heatlamp holder built in, so it's made more for heat-lamped reptiles, although, maybe i could keep my lid open, you see, i use a wire mesh cover over the top, then use the lid to keep the mesh in place, the lid opens, so that i could open the lid and let more air in without the snake being able to escape, would that work?

Yeah, I'd try that. Any hope of fixing the old viv?

well, mum aired it out, and me and bob cleaned it really well the other day, but I'm rather happy with Damien's new Viv, so i give the old one to mum and bob, there going to use it for something, not sure what yet, but it's clean and all the burnt bit was coverd up with electrician tape, but I'm a perfectionist, if somethings broke, or burnt, then I'd rather not use it, It was a good Viv aswell, but his new set-up is more stable, less chance of him escaping this Viv : )
