Hoggy bid for freedom?

My 6 month old male hognose seems to always be trying to get out of his viv. He keeps sort of standing up and pressing himself against the sides as if he's trying to find a way out. The viv is the right size and temperature and he has plenty of hides, so I'm just wondering if there's anything else that might be making him unhappy? Obviously I don't know if he does this when I'm not there, but he usually starts up just after I get home from work and keeps doing it for several hours before he decides to "go to bed"!

Does he have anything else to climb on like vines or a branch or a hammock? That might keep him busy! Some snakes just like to surf the glass.

He doesn't have any branches, actually - that's a good idea. I know my corn likes to climb on them. I'll put some in and see what he does.
Do you think he might be trying to get my attention or do snakes not really do that?!

I don't think they really try to get our attention. I _do_ have some that, if I see them out, I might open their door to give them a pet, and they don't run away, and they do seem to want to come out.

I have a ghostie girl who always "surfs the glass" trying to find a way out, she is constantly trying to find a way to freedom, and has managed to climb the walls of her tub on multiple occasions. she has branches and leafs and boxes and a bowl, but she just wants the one thing I wont give her--FREEDOM! I'm such a jerk.

Its a hognose, they live to be unhappy. lol They hiss and holler, even while eating. I have never seen a happy hognose. lol
