how big of a feeding container?

Leonore

snake momma
Pebbles took her first couple meals in the deli cup that she was shipped in, but I feel that it's a bit cramped up in there (and it will certainly be too small soon!). Is there a rule of thumb for the size of container you use to feed your snake? I'm going by the hardware store this afternoon, so I'd like to pick up something more appropriate. Thanks!

I want my snakes to not be able to avoid the food in the feeding container...so, mine are fairly small at first. Hatchlings get sandwich containers, juveniles get a 48oz (6 cup) container and my adults get a 15 quart Sterilite. I think the Sterilite is a bit large but it works for me...
