Bobo's Mama
proud corn mommy!
I've got two probe thermometers. One is in the viv of my calm laidback Amel. He hardly roams around at all, and isn't large enough to affect the probe or move it at all. The other probe thermometer is in Doug's viv. He's nearly 600g and when he moves around its like he's trying to burrow to the center of the earth! He is constantly moving the probe away from the glass, so I'm having a hard time monitoring the temps. I've got his UTH hooked up to a thermostat, and it works fairly well, its just hard to determine the temp when he moves the darn probe when he tunnels. The probe has a sticky pad on it, but I hesitate to use it because I don't want it to get unstuck from the glass and accidentally get stuck to his skin. Any advice on how I could get it to stick without using the sticky pad? Do you think I could glue it down? or would it be the same as using the sticky pad?
