How often and is this right?

Hello, I just gotta make sure i am doing it all good. I just got my 11 inch corn on Friday at noon. The guy I got him from fed him on Tuesday. The first attempt was At about 5 pm on friday With a LIVE pinkie wich he tried swallowing it but got a fight. The 2nd attempt was on Friday at about midnight With a frozen thawed and showed NO intrest. The last time I tried was about 4:30 today and this time I brained the pinkie and Tried offering with tweezers he showed little intrest with one quick bite and release. Is it to soon to try again. If so what do you think I should feed him in next time, When, like or dead, Brained?, and how long should I leave him in it? Should I dangle it or just leave it there? Thanks

Just offer it one time.

If the snake doesn't eat then don't offer it again. Keep the same schedule regardless.

Let the snake settle in to his new surroundings for 5-10 days will little or no handling. After that time, try feeding again. Right now, your snake is in a completely new place and isn't real sure what is going on. Give him a chance to check things out at his pace. :)

If you will go to my website, I have a care sheet that talks specifically about taking home new hatchling corns. I think it will answer most of your questions.

Just place the pinkie in the cup and close the lid. I find that placing the deli cup inside a cabinet and closing the door works well. This way the snake isn't distracted by movements or you staring at it. You can leave the pinkie inside the cup for several hours without worry.

What if he doesn't eat it? can I put in in her tank on the cool side and turn all the lights off? It is in the basement in a room with no windows.

I'd still recommend leaving it in the cup so that he does't accidentally injest a piece of bedding while eating.

You can place the cup inside the tank and turn out the lights. It is essentially the same as putting him inside the cabinet.
