Snake Addict!
How often do you see your snakes out and about? Specifically if you've only had them a short period of time (i.e only a week or so).
I just got 2 new adults (thanks Rich!) and I have yet to see them move from their hide boxes since I got them. They very well could be coming out when I'm not around, but I doubt it. Yesterday I decided to pull them out just to check on them and I held them up to get water and they both drank forever, like they had no idea they even had water available to them.
I feel kind of stupid for posting this considering I'm not new to snakes and I feel that I should be able to understand them by now, but it just seems weird that I haven't even seen them poke their heads out even once.
I'm guessing it's just the fact that they are still getting used to their new life at my house, but jeeze! It's like they don't know how to get out of their hide boxes or something.
Could it be that these 2 are just super shy since they've lived their whole lives up until this point in a breeders facilty, not used to getting much attention?
