If you want to get a fairly accurate idea of the snake's length from a shed, you're better off to subtract 10% or so from the shed length. The skin will actually be longer than the snake if it comes off in one piece.herplover said:hi i was wondering how often corns shed? ive only had mine a week and hes about 2 foot+ so often will he shed and how long will it take for him to finish sheding?
I was going more off of the "he's about 2 foot+" part of that comment, but yep, it's 10% from what I understand. Serp also has a program that you can use by taking a picture of the snake from directly overhead. I can't remember who it was now, but somebody said the other day that they tried both methods and the results of each were within an inch or so of each other, so either will probably be okreptile_addict said:I think he was asking how long it takes not the length but that helped. I always was wondering what to take off the shed to know total length.
