I would like to ask 2 questions, how do you tell if a corn is male or female and how do they go to the bathroom? Just curious and need to know how to tell gender!!!!:shrugs::uhoh::dunce::shrugs::shrugs::confused::uhoh:

You need to probe or pop a snake to know the gender... and snakes go to the bathroom like we do... lol I don't really want to describe that part but you get the point.

Do they like throw it up or what?
Do you throw up your poop? No...you poop out of you anus...snakes poo out of there backsides too. Are you joking with this? Do you have a snake now? If so you really need to get a book about them!
Hopefully this is a joke though right?

Snake have an opening toward thier tail referred to as vent or cloaca (sp). The poo and pee although the pee called urates will turn whitish and powdery when dry. They go usually within 2-4 days after eating.

You asked about the sex or gender of your snake that is determined by popping or probing if you don't know what it is you shouldnt' be doing it. Go to cornutopia.com there are videos of popping and probing. I must stress this is not soemthing you can learn by watching a video. You can do great harm to your snake if done improperly.

One way to tell the gender of an adult snake is by just looking at the tail. If it's short and quickly tapers it's a female. If it's long and slowly tapers it's a male. Another way is by comparing adults of equal age. The female is usually bigger both around and longer, and the female is more slender.

As far as the poo, I'm not sure what you're asking, but snakey poo is brown, and the urine (or urates) is like a white solid substance.

Hope this info helps you out.:dancer:

Do you mean the male is larger and longer, and the female more slender. Of my adults the male is bigger all the way around, the females long and slender.

Oops, I meant that the males are more slender and shorter--from what I've read anyway. :)

This is quite inaccurate actually. There are exceptions to every rule and this is no different. In my collection, I don't really notice any obvious phenotypic differences between males and females based solely on their outward appearance.

The only accurate ways are probing and a slightly lesser extent popping.

I have a male snakes that looks like a female judging on tail alone...he probes male though...

Visual sexing is not accurate unless you are a real expert with years of experience...even then it's not 100% accurate...lol
