HOW TO??

im getting my first order of 50 pinkys tomorow and im wondering as to how you guys store yours? i know they are to ber air tight but how do you guys do it.. i dont want my pinkys to get freezer burn..

I open the bag and visually sort them into three sizes- small, bigger, biggest, and put them in ziplocks numbered 1, 2, 3. I squeeze all the air out of these bags. I put the bags into a small Gladware container and put that in the freezer. I start feeding from bag #1.

Once opened, I repackage mine in freezer bags using a food saver. This is the one that I use:

dont know that i have the money for the sealer but ill try the ziplock bag mehtod.. i counted the days on my calendar, and if i feed my corn 1 pinky every 5 days i will have enought pinkeys to last me until mid november!! will these still be good by that time if keps sealed properly??

The general consensus seems to be they last 6 months in a ziplock with as much air removed as possible, a year in an airtight tupperware, and 1-2 years if vacuum sealed. All in the freezer of course

Oh and your snake should outgrow pinkies before 50 are used up. Hopefully your order has some variation in size, and you can go to 2 pinkies when he outgrows one.

i was also thinking he would outgrow the pinkys.. i fed him one on sunday and by early tuesday no more lump.. so a couple more single pinkys i thikn then he will be ready for 2..

so i should be ok if i ziplockthem pushing all the air out then putting them in a ziplock
