Hello, Damien's tank is at 75% humidity, which of course is well too high, it has been rainy in england for a few weeks although now its gone pretty warm, I don't know if thats made it humid, I have put a little less water in Damien's water bowl, and moved it to the cool end, the humid thing is in the middle of the tank, Anyways moving his water to the cool end, and putting less water in are the only suggestions I could find when i tried to research this problem, so if anyone has any ideas, please tell :p

George, I wouldn't worry about it if it's just temporary. Right now, in Florida, Damien's natural range, the humidity is 98% in the morning! It drops to about 50% in the afternoon.

Thanks Nanci, I was just a little worried because I read it can cause problems if its like that all the time, if it does not go down is there anything i should do to try and bring it down?

I increased the amount of holes of ventilation and solved the problem, in my terrarium the humidity was above 80% and dropped to 60% 65%.

thank you, although my viv has 6 big vents in it, so i cant see that being the problem, I'll just have to wait and see if it changes over the next few days :)

What Nancy said. 75% is just fine. As long as it it warm enough, it should not present a problem at all.

No matter how many holes I put in my tubs the humidity in my cages are always 80% plus. Doesn't seem to cause any problems at all.

High humidity causes respiratory problems.

In conjunction with temperatures that are too low. Temporary humidity spikes into the 70's and 80's should not be a problem as long as the temperatures are high enough. Like Nanci said, the corn snake is native to areas of the US where relative humidity is routinely in the 70's, 80's or even 90's in the summer.
