No one ever has problems with cohabiting... until they do. Please separate them immediately, even if it means a couple have to live in lidded plastic bins for a while until you can set up two more vivs to your liking.
I also agree with ditching the real plants, even though they look good they can be a pain. Plastic aquarium plants work great, are easy to clean, and the taller ones lean over and provide even more hiding spots.
