Eich, got back from the hospital yesterday, but now i am felling a little better. i went in there tihnking i was having an allergic reaction to somthing i was wrong. I had been throwing up every hour on the hour for about 5 hours when i went in, my whole face/ neck is/was covered in tons of little red dots, i dont mean 50 i mean like 30 per square inch. It was hard to swallow and i had a little bit of a fever. you know what i had? Strep throat AND food poising.i had been :puke01:soo hard that i poped blood vessels in my eyes and caused the whole thing on my face......well a few hours in the hospital, a IV in my right and left inner arm and my right hand and a days rest i am feeling a little better. anyone else have any good sick stories?

Not a good sick story, but it was kinda scary for me;

I had really bad dizzy spells about a year ago, kept passing out, I couldn't go anywhere for about 2 weeks, i kept waking up in random places around the house, not remembering how I got there, it was really freaky o.0;
I think it was an ear infection of some sort. :x

Glad to hear your feeling better. Only sick story I can give happened a year ago Thanksgiving. My sister asked me to go over thanksgiving morning to stuff the turkey since she had to work, and my mom wasn't physically able to. My first turkey to stuff, mom there in her wheel chair. I'm at the kitchen sink with my hand up the turkeys butt and I all of a sudden start feeling REALLY not good at all. Well I had my bro inlaw call the ambulence and it turned out I had my second mild heart attack in 4 yrs.
My family knows better then to ask me to stuff a bird or do anything other then bring drinks and put the marshmellows on the sweet potato's from now on...LOL

The sickest I've been in recent history was when I got pneumonia two summers ago. Who knew pneumonia presented as severe back pain! In my two weeks off work, with 104F fevers, I managed to capture a cornsnake, though, and that's when it all started...

I caught salmonella from a bad chicken sandwich at a restaurant once. I won't go into gory details, but I spent 18 hours in the bathroom sitting on the toilet with a bucket in my lap...and I was constantly using both :rolleyes: . It was the worst thing I have ever gone through.

Even after I expelled everything from my body and the cold-fever-sweats-shakes disappeared, i spent another 2 days in bed...

I did that in Mexico once. I didn't know that Peaches and Cream Liquor _had to_ be refrigerated...

One Christmas Eve (I think I was about 14 or so) I had a late afternoon snack of carrot slices and ranch dressing. Little did I know, the stomach bug was at work on me... on the way to my great aunt's house Christmas night, I barfed up those carrots and ranch dressing all over the carpeted floor of our conversion van. :puke01:

My mother is a goddess to clean THAT up!!

I have bad asthma, and I did end up in the hospital in 2001 after a cold nailed me hard. That was scary... I was really terrified that I was going to die, because I could hardly breathe. Not being able to breathe is probably the most frightening thing in the world.

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Two years ago my son had an anaphylactic reaction to a bee sting. It came on really fast. Within 10 minutes of his being stung, his eyes were burning and he started breaking out in hives. Now that was scary.

I don't have any really good sick stories about me, except a few years back when I got pneumonia and still tried to go to work. Boy was I miserable.

Worst I got sick recently was seinor year of high school, on the DAY of the state marching band competition. I don't know what I had, but I was vomiting the entire morning, was horrendously dizzy, and when I finally STOPPED vomiting, I started coughing incessantly. Being that it was my final marching band show of my high school career, I was a stubbron litle prat and did the whole show anyways.

I promptly fainted afterwards. But hey! I still got through the show. :D

This is really weird, because I to have been in the hospital witht he exact same symptoms minus the vomiting. I was covered about 80% is a hives like rash, they diagnosed it as erythema multiforme. Itched bad, high fever, and soarness. It ruined my christmas break. My parent were sure it was my new boa that caused it, but what do they know. They don't know how i got it or if if it even is what they diagnosed. I got a steroid shot, and some pills. made me feel like I was floating.

Oh man.. I hardly ever get sick, but when I do, it hits me hard.

Summer of '04 I got strep throat, didn't tell anyone, and it got worse and worse until I hadn't eaten for three days and announced that I needed to go to the emergency room. Well, I did, and I was seen by.. dr. pepper. Best thing ever. Anyhow, they stuck me on antibiotics and pain killers and I was good to go.

That winter, I got what I took to be a cold, let it be because colds usually get better. Well. It didn't. I coughed a lot, slept a lot, shivered a lot. My family kept asking, "Kayla, are you okay?" "Yeh, just a cold, I'm fine." Well, come Christmas Eve I kind of.. collapse due to inability to breathe, and I got hauled off to the hospital, where they stuck various tubes in my face =) I had pneumonia. Whoo!

And about a year ago.. march-ish '06, I just felt generally terrible in every way. I coughed 'till I threw up, horrible chest pains, laying in bed being completely unable to move due to the cold and general pain everywhere. I managed to hobble over to my computer and ask my aunt to bring me a glass of water. I sort of lay there for six hours, and she never comes, so I hobble down the stairs.. there she sits at her computer, playing a computer game, my message window flashing in the corner, wtf. So, off to the doctors. I had bronchitis, which was treated with antibiotics and hydrocodone =)

And, most recently, this has put me in the hospital no less than four times and I'm off to see a doctor tomorrow about it too. I had the most TERRIBLE stomach pains I've ever experienced, along with projectile vomitting at complete random. 7 hours in the ER and, blood tests, cat scans, and a urine sample revealed an ovarian cyst. I've been being treated since september, it's done nothing, so I'm hoping for surgery now.

=) I'm healthy!

Sorry to hear about that, Chris. Being sick does suck.

Yesterday, I woke up and three trains promptly hit me in the face. I went to school (big mistake) but I had to leave class every five minutes to go to the bathroom. I was (still am) very dehydrated, and had a terrible fever last night. The amusing thing is, I have extreme hallucinations when I have a fever, so last night at around 11:30, I was absolutely convinced that at any moment, the entire British army was going to kick down my bedroom door and take me prisoner. Logically, the only thing that could solve this problem was to burst out of my room, sprint outside, and vault myself into my swimming pool, which was very recently frozen completely solid.

at least the cold water got rid of my fever, though. :grin01:
