I have a pipper!

Eternally Confused
I am so excited. Today is day 56 of my Corn eggs' incubation. I went to check on them a few minutes ago and found this!

Looks like it could possibly be an Amel, though it could also be another Snow. I'm so happy, I can't wait for the others to start pipping. I'll post more pictures as we go along.

Yay! Thanks guys! :) I'm so excited. Can't wait to see what the others turn out to be. I'll be so happy if even one turns out Anery. lol!

I'm so stoked. I have two more pippers and both of them look anery! :D Here's the first one that I managed to capture.

Congrats! I only had one egg survive to pipping this year :( I only had 5 to start with though...hoping for better luck next year!

Thanks a bunch everyone. As of this afternoon, I am up to five pips, but no one brave enough to actually hatch yet. Lazy kids! :D Here are the latest snaps. Looks like possibly 2 amels and 3 anerys so far.

They are all five out now and I couldn't be more ecstatic. 2 amels, 2 anerys and a beautiful little normal who is the sweetest thing EVAR. When I went to pick it up, it curled up right in my hand, wrapped it's little tail around my finger and then refused to let me put it down. I may end up keeping that one, simply because I love the personality. Here are some pics of the gang so far. I'm still waiting on the other eggs to pip, though I'm sure it will be more of these cute little devils.

Amelanistic #1, curious, but flighty.

More pics to come as more hatch!

Thanks for the comments and compliments, everyone. :) I should have specified what the parents were. Mom is a Snow and dad is an Abbott's Okeetee. Nothing fancy, and I didn't expect anything major, as this is only my second clutch ever. But it has been SO much fun and I've learned a ton of stuff. :D Here's a pic of mom and dad.

Apopha, female snow (app. 5-6 years old)

Adam, male Abbott's Okeetee (app. 4 years old)

I had no idea what the hets for these guys were. Apopha was my first snake...and I had picked her up at the local pet store. Adam came to me as a rescue, so I have no background info on either one. I guess I have proven Adam as being het for Snow? The hatchling from the first clutch was a snow. :) So out of this one I kind of expected to get normals, a few anerys and a few amels...and another possible snow or two. Still waiting on 18 other eggs from this clutch to hatch, so I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks! So, this morning I go to check on my remaining 18 eggs and find these. :D Weeeee!
