What equipment and supplies do you have for the king? Do you already have the cage? If you have everything or nearly everything you need, you can use this when talking to your mother. It will show that you thought ahead and are trying to be responsible for the snake.

i already have an aquarium tank (10 gallon), an esape proof lid, and rocks and plants inside for her. oh and a water dish

is she just a hatchling, if not that tank seems a little small?

my boyfriend has a python and loves snakes to, so he's going to help me get stuff for her, he is even building a huge aquarium for his snake. he just wasn't here this weekend to help me....
 
She'll be fine in the 10 gal for a long while. Mine is in half of a 55 gal tank which is only 4" longer and 2" wider than the 10. Grey bands do not get that big and are content in small enclosures :cheers:

you seem like you know alot about kingsnakes, do u have any grey-banded ones?

Well Reese don't feel bad I did the same thing. hey tell your mom that if he does some how get out you wont have a mouse problem. my mom hates snakes to but she will get over it. nice king he has very cool colors. Good luck

My momdidn't let me keep the snake at our house... so i kept it at my boyfriends house... My friend Jerry came over one day and held her and fell in love, he paid me $80 for everything i had..... so she is safe now... and very much loved! thanks to everyone who helped me!
