Hi, I got my corn snake just 3 days ago and i was wondering when and how often should I handle it. Do corn snakes enjoy human company, and can too much handling be bad for the snake. I really enjoy it slithering around my hands and i need to know this stuff so I know if I'm overdoing it or not

I'm an absolute newbie to snakes, but if you search through the threads, one of the most common bits of advice is to give your snake a week or so to settle in upon purchase. After that, you can do daily handling aside from the 48 hours after feeding. I'm absolutely positive that yes, you can "over" handle them, so you may consider just an initial ten minute or so handling session per day. How old is your snake? You'll likely have him for years to come, so you may want to reduce his stress by letting him get used to his new home before taking him out too much initially.

Congrats on your new snake!

It kind of depends on your snake. If, after the settling in period and first meal, he comes out, curls up around your fingers and is perfectly entertained doing that, I'd say you can keep him out up to an hour, with you sitting doing something, with the snake wound around you. If he's more active, and you have to constantly keep repositioning him, and he wants to go go go, then he's also burning a ton of calories he needs for growing, so I might limit that kind of thing to 30 minutes or less. It's ok to handle every day except for at least 48 hours after feeding, (but it's ok to handle him to remove him from his feeding bin and replace him in his viv) but if you handle twice a day, then I would keep the handling shorter, say ten to 15 minutes or so.
