Any one was try to get a hypo pewter? I have an adult male pewter and a female bloodred Hypo, that is the possible way to get those in the F2? Carlos

I'm not Rich Z, but I can tell you the answer to that one. It's a yes. By crossing a hypo bloodred with a pewter, you'll wind up with an F1 generation that's bloodred double het for charcoal and hypo. Cross the F1's together, and you'll have 1/16 odds of getting hypo pewters in the F2's.

Has anybody here managed to create a hypo pewter yet? Is there much difference between the hypo and a regular pewter?

A pic would be nice if anybody has one (any age).

I think I produced maybe three or four of them this year. Only got one last year but it was not a survivor. This year's batch seems to be doing very well.

I might have some photos of them when I was shooting up a storm during hatching season. I'll have to take a look one of these days. Maybe even take some photos of them now that they've gotten a little bit of size to them. Serpwidgets asked me for a photo a while back of them. So it's already on my list of things to do one day.

I fed some of the Lavender Blood Reds tonight. I do believe they are going to be rather nice looking when they reach adulthood. Someone has already made an EXTREMELY generous offer for the first pair of them I offer for sale. :D

Oh, and as to the answer about the Hypo Pewters being much different from the regular Pewters. Heck, I'm not about to make much of a determination yet until they get some size on them. You know how much babies can change. And of course, I expect there will be an amazing amount of variation in them once we have some numbers to look at.
